Come help us plant two Heritage trees in Miantonomi Park!

Let's end the 2026 Tree Corps volunteer season in style! On Saturday, Oct. 24th, we are set to plant 2 American sweetgums (Liquidambar styraciflua) in the open space of Miantonomi Park. These trees were grown from seed collected from the noble, now-deceased specimem in Morton Park, which was extant before the Olmsted firm redesigned the park at the turn of the 20th century.

Tools and gloves will be provided. Wear appropriate footwear for planting. Water is recommended.
