Volunteer
Help us plant and care for Newport’s shared urban forest.
Volunteering with the Newport Tree Conservancy is a great way to get outdoors, learn about the trees in our city-wide arboretum, and contribute directly to the health and vibrance of our community.
Most volunteer events require no experience.
Bringing your family or friends? Indicate your group size as the number of volunteers in your party, including yourself.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
Check out our EVENTS page to register for our weekly Tree Corps.
Gather Your Group!
Do you have a group that would like to join us? NTC encourages garden clubs, work teams, scout and homeschool groups, and more to reach out if you'd like to organize a volunteer work day. No experience is necessary!
Each volunteer group can accommodate up to 15 participants. If your group has more than 15 people, we may be able to schedule two separate volunteer groups, depending on availability.
Email us at volunteer@NewportTreeConservancy.org to schedule your group!
Reccomended Donation for Group Volunteer Projects
We are grateful for the time and energy that volunteer groups bring to Newport Tree Conservancy—your support helps us care for and grow Newport’s urban forest in meaningful ways.
For organized group volunteer projects, we suggest a recommended donation of $250 per group. For groups larger than 15 participants that are scheduled as two separate groups, the recommended donation is $250 per group.
This contribution helps offset the costs of staff time, tools, materials, and ongoing tree care efforts that make these experiences possible and directly supports our mission to plant, protect, and preserve trees throughout Newport.
Donations can be made in advance through this link, or by check on the day of your volunteer project.
