Part of the Newport Tree Conservancy's mission is to propagate and grow heritage trees. But what gives a tree that classification? How, in a city full of charismatic and historic trees, do we pick what to propagate and preserve? Join Plant Production Manager Morgan Palmer at the Heritage Tree Center to learn about our heritage tree selection process, how we propagate and care for them, and why it is an important part of what we do. A tour of the nursery will follow where we will see a selection of heritage trees growing alongside other exciting and beautiful specimens.
