The Newport Tree Conservancy is partnering with Aquidneck Resilience for a guided resilience walk through King Park. Along the way, we’ll explore resilient tree species and discuss strategies for creating healthier, more climate-ready landscapes—including resilient planting, stormwater management, flood mitigation, and nature-based solutions.

Aquidneck Resilience is a collaboration between the City of Newport, the Town of Middletown, the Town of Portsmouth, and Naval Station Newport, proudly hosted by the Aquidneck Island Land Trust. Together, we work with partners across the island to address climate impacts and build a community that protects our land, water, and people.
