Arboretum Tour: Walnut Point (Second Rain Date!)

Join the Newport Tree Conservancy for a tour of this “microarboretum,” Walnut Point!

Situated on a 0.11 acre property in the Point Neighborhood of Newport, it is proof that an arboretum isn’t about size and grandeur – it’s about the variety of the plant collection. Owners Maureen Cronin and Mark Marosits have used fastigiate and dwarf varieties to creatively utilize the limited space while creating a harmonious landscape that is an extension of their indoor living space. Plant highlights include the lost gordonia, espaliered fruit trees, and the rare European medlar. Please remember to dress for the weather and walking. Water is highly encouraged.

The arboretum address will be provided in your confirmation and reminder emails from Eventbrite. Please contact us at 401-264-1788 to purchase a ticket using your member discount. To become a member and gain access to early registration and other benefits click here.

Please note this tour has been rescheduled a second time due to inclement weather. Friday, 9/1, is the current tour date.
