Arboretum Tour: Bonniecrest

Join NTC for a tour of Bonniecrest Arboretum!

With sweeping views of the picturesque Newport Harbor, Bonniecrest is an ideal location for an arboretum. The historic Brick Tudor house, built in 1912, is surronded by many interesting and historic plantings that dot the Olmsted brother's landscape design. Interesting plants include a perfect specimen "Dwaft" Hinoki Falsecypress, Japanese umbrella pines, beech, oak, hemlock, and true cedars. NTC Living Collections Manager Joe Verstandig will lead the group and highlight standout trees, and give a short tutorial on pruning rhododendrons and azaleas.
