April Free Tree Walk: Queen Anne’s Square

Join the Newport Tree Conservancy for a walk amongst spring-blooming trees!

Let’s welcome spring to Newport on a tree tour with the Newport Tree Conservancy. Join Living Collections Manager Joe Verstandig for a walk through the beautiful Queen Anne Square park and surrounding streets. Spring blooms, emerging leaves, and brightening conifers will be highlighted, as well as other signs of life after a cold, snowy winter. Joe will also discuss some of the propagation work that's going on at NTC, and showcase some plants from the nursery that best represent Newport’s excellent horticulture. Please dress appropriately for walking through mud and grass.

Parking: Street parking along Spring St @ Pelham St and surrounding area

Meeting Location: Queen Anne’s church

Registration is required and will open on March 26th.

This program involves walking/standing for the duration of the event.

Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
